I already have naturally curly hair (i am a mixed race girl-african american, indian and white. but my curly hair tends to look frizzy, poofy and have less curls in some areas.)

This girl's hair is perfect. Her hair is all nice in curly and long and its shiny too. I want my hair to look like this.

Anyone have any ideas or tips on what products I should use and what steps I should do?

I have curly hair as well. It's taken me over 20 years to grow to love it and to learn how to style it. Like a person above suggested, buy the Garnier Fructis Curl and Shine shampoo. It works great. Also as suggested above, use a wide-toothed comb when doing your hair. Try using a diffuser (or an attachment) instead of a hair dryer by itself. That will make the hair frizzy. I don't like the hair serums since they tend to be sticky and make my hair look like I used too much gel. Another product to try would be Springing Curls (I think) by L'Oreal. It works great on keeping my curls seperated and not frizzy. Hope this helps.

There are lines of products that are for keeping your hair curly. Pantene Pro V has a line for defining your curls called hydrating curls and Garnier Fructis has one called Curl and Shine.

My hair is like the girls in the picture..I use Garnier Fructis Shampoo & Conditioner....Sleek & Shine......I use a wide toothed Detangling comb in the shower....after rinsing the conditioner out...I make sure I just dab my hair to get the exess water off...afterwards, while hair is still wet....I put in Garnier Fructis Leave in Conditioner...which leaves my hair soft.....then I put in a frizz control.....which I use something like Soft Curls...from Garnier Fructis......
I THEN take a pure cotton T-shirt & roll my hair into it...kind of like a turban...this squeezes out the water, without OVER drying the hair...I leave it on for about 15-20 min's.....make sure it is pure cotton...poly/cotton blends will actually take the natural oils from your hair, leaving it dry & frizzy...also using silk pillowcases will help keep hair from getting frizzy too....
After taking Turban off..allow hair to airdry the rest of the way...dont brush or comb your hair after, allow hair to take its natural curl...you can also twist hair around finger to get more difined curls..

These are things I do to my hair...my hair goes to my butt...& is naturally curly...these are some tricks I have learned through the yrs. & I get lots of compliments about my hair...

Good Luck...

Try hair serums. You can get ones that add shine and reduce frizziness. You could also buy a curl perfecting product.

Oh, and don't brush your hair. Use a wide toothed comb if necessary. Brushing will just make it frizzier.

Hey. That is a great hair style you have chosen. With gel or mousse on your hands, scrunch up your curls and they should look like the picture. As for shine, the gel and mousse may do this minimally but change your shampoo to a shine one

Bring a copy of the picture to your regular salon where you usually get your hair done, show the picture to your hairdresser and as she does the hairdo for you, ask her how you can maintain the style by yourself step by step.

Check out the testimonial page on the Mixed Chicks website. WWW.mixedchicks.NET. Their products do what they claim.

use a serum but if you don't like the oily feeling(I don't) use mouse and hairspray, that seems to be the only thing working for me so far but the only downfall is the "crispy" feeling. It's whatever works for you.
