We got into space thanks to good ol' Americans like Werner von Braun, and our Yankee ingenuity split the atom thanks to good ol' boys like Enrico Fermi. Are we doomed?

I don't think america will be a country much longer, considering the presidency gets worst every year and has been since Clinton and probally before that too. I think that if nothing else the debt of money America owes to other "Smarter" countries will be enough to put it to ruin in itself. But with morons like Bush running the country, not careing about what the other branches have to say and whatnot, I don't think we have much to look foward to. As for the actuall intelegence level of the states, that is what stuff like the WASL was set up for in order to educate our Youth more, however the teachers are so paranoid about what is on the WASL that the other important stuff is not being taught.
