...Jesus was born to die; God sent Him to die for our sins, to pay the penalty we should have paid, to die in our place, to be our Savior. It happened through the hands of evil men and He knew what would happen - it was decided beforehand, and He did the Father's will.
...1 Corinthians 15:3-4 says this:
...3 "For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
...4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures"
...He offers salvation to all who will believe on Him.
...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved
(Acts 16:31)
...Whosoever will, may come.

Because Jesus, as a Jew, lived among Jews in a Roman-run country. So he was killed by Romans because he was a threat to the Jewish power structure--it wasn't like there was a Christian or Capitalist power structure for him to threaten at the time.

Because of what he taught. He taught two main things, a return to God's Torah (Sermon on the Mount) and to turn away from the traditions of the Pharisees (Mat 15:3-6, Mrk 7:8-13). The Pharisees and those in charge couldn't stand the snub of their authority and removed him as a problem.

Jews did not kill Jesus. Preachers killed Jesus. Preachers was the cause of him being crucified. But Jesus understood what had to be done. So did anyone person really kill him, if he know he had to die for us? Think about that for a moment.

Jesus had to die for our sins but we need not blame the Jews for killing him. We all have Jesus on our hands in our lives and many times we have crucified him.

Because the jews wanted a messiah that would be this big mac daddy that would drive the hated Romans out of Israel. Not some hippy that talked about turning the other cheek. He also made them look like the jerks they were.

Politicians killed Jesus.
(Out of fear, fear of losing their cushy jobs, fear of an uprising if they didn't, etc). Just look at the interaction between Herod and Pilate.
Technically, it was Roman soldiers under the direction of the Roman politicians.
.
The Jewish religious leaders certainly precipitated the whole debacle, and incited the crowds.
They were also fearful of Jesus, that the people would follow him, and they would lose their influence.
.
Politics. Power. Corruption.

It was not the Jews that killed Jesus, it was sin. Jesus was sent to this earth for one purpose, and that was to shed his blood to cover our sins. That is because he loves you so much.

We all killed Jesus. Because of our sins. We may not have been there and literally drove the nails in his hands but we all killed him.
