Please add in things like your general area (urban, rural etc), how many people in the area, and what country you live in. I am trying to figure out if what I spend is normal.

My boyfriend and I shop for groceries on the weekends and we alternate the payments. I pay about $300 a month, so if he's paying the same, then our household cost for groceries is $600. We prefer organic/natural foods, so the price of groceries tends to be a little more.

We live in Huntington Beach, CA. It's a very urban area with a population of about 200,000.

I live in a te-tiny town in louisiana, usa. Around 3,000 people. My house backs up to a rice field, so I guess that means we live in a rural area, lol. It's myself, hubby and 4 lil monsters. 3 boys,1 girl. It varies from month to month, but the average is between $450-500. That's food, cleaning supplies, pull-ups,etc...

A long time ago with just me and hubby, about $100. I miss those days....LOL!

I have me, my husband and a toddler. Live in a rural area-ohio, USA. We spend about $250 a month, but have spent up to $375.
We normally buy name brand (kraft, nabisco) except for bread, donuts and little things like that. We shop at a grocery store called Kroger. (like a Publix).

I live in a somewhat big "small town" in TX. My town is where one of the major Universities are...Texas A&M....Home of the Aggies...the price of living here is somewhat cheap, depending on what part of town your shopping in...if I shop in College Station, for my Family of 3...I spend anywhere from $450-$500 a month...depending on what I have to buy......where as if I shop in Bryan..I spend about $400-$450 a month...depending on what I buy.........The 2 towns are basically wrapped around each other, but it is more expensive to live/shop in CS..then it is to live/shop in Bryan.......mostly because the college is IN CS...
