yes if all Indians take a firm decision to make it a super power in the world. if India got rid of corrupted politicians, who take money for asking questions in parliament .when Indian leaders stop mortgaging the country's interests to foreign powers. when the youth raise their voice against the injustice in the society instead of being glued to TV . yes India will become a powerful nation when there are no economic, political, gender inequalities.as done in Venezuela, priority should be given to health care system .schools at primary education level are to be opened .at present the government is concentrating education at higher levels and neglecting primary education.

Why should India become the most powerful nation on earth, any more than Hitler thought Germany should become the world's super race some seven decades ago? This form of warped thinking does the world no good. What an over-populated, poverty-stricken country like India should be thinking about right now is how to generate enough wealth to benefit all of its over 1 billion people, and not just a few privileged ones. This is a daunting task and this is what the rest of the peace-loving world expects of India.

Why would you want to be the most powerful? That's a serious ego-trip. Why not whole world? There is no logical justification for nationalism. You simply can't logicaly prove that one nation is superior to another.

But I'd like to see India lead the way into a better future because that would mean that your almost billion people will be living better. USA tried to be the most powerful nation in the world. At best, you can do it for a brief period in history. After every rise there is decadence and fall. There has not been a single example in all of human history to suggest otherwise.

Every person can decide wether to spend his final amount of time on this earth on building or destroying. Chose the first and try to influence your community to do the same.

India has the potential but I don't know if they have the will. Keep in mind that the more one succeeds the more ones neighbors become dissatisfied. India's position as a true world power will hinge on her relationship with the west. Never forget that all of the nations that border India would like to see India fail.

Are you asking if India will be A powerful nation, or the MOST powerful nation? I will assume the latter. From my vague understanding, China's economy is growing much faster than India's. Both are developing nations, so their figures in economic growth can be compared. In my opinion, China will be the next superpower (assuming they will go capitalist and democratic), not India.

Yes, India will be a powerful nation by the hard work of the honest people. There is no magic or jaadoo to bring in power. This imply that nothing can materialize in filmy style. There is need to do away with the faulty social system which has weakened the society by promoting evils like casteism, racialism, regionalism and a number of superstitions and false beliefs to pollute the thoughts of an Indian. The first priority is infact PAITPOOJA (solution to economic problems) but here it is left to either begging or dishonest tactics by many who often destablise the really honest and productive people. The nation canot be powerful with the illusory and faulty power (economic, political) of just few people. Each individual has a meaning and thus have a right to a meaningful life. The common man, irrespective of his caste, religion, race, language, origin etc, has to be made powerful on all accounts if the nation is intended to be really powerful. The country should be in a position to provide enouph opportunities for all round development of all citizens. Everybody should be in a position to get justice and have an honourable place both at national as well as international level. Acquisition of advanced weapons alone can not made a state powerful when it cannot provide enough shelter, cloth and food (roti, kapra and makan) to its population. A powerful nation do not allow exploitation, injustice and attrocities on any false and insane consideration. And one must learn from the past that how few enjoyed luxurious life while most of others simply suffered and lived in abject powerty. Even magical stories of succesful legendary heros could not pump in enough inspirations among the powerty ridden masses. Few powerful war experts were not enough to generate enough power to protect a powerful nation. Lost on all fronts but learnt nothing for the sake of a powerful upper status in a weakness generating sinful ans subhuman caste system. The nation cannot become powerful at the expense of the expectations and needs of the common man.

add..
A nation cannot be powerful becouse of the power of you and me alone, others have also to be made equally powerful. I think it is beyond thine or mine power and as such needs collective wisdom and efforts for all that. There is no use of empty, selfish, whimsical, and false halos around few heads when most of others live in abject powerty. The power of a nation is reflected in the quality of life and characters and capabilies of its citizens. And one can not hide starving faces for long to reflect partial greatness or power. Few people may find it very easy to attain power but it still remain illusive and unattainable to a majority of the people. So one has to think in terms of ground realities and decide the priorities accordingly.
