Well, a true Christian most definitely would. The Bible says: “Do not become unevenly yoked with unbelievers.” (2 Corinthians 6:14) This should especially be kept in mind when choosing a marriage mate. Marriage is a permanent partnership, for Jesus Christ said: “What God has yoked together let no man put apart.” (Matthew 19:6) Much heartache results when a married couple do not share beliefs, principles, and goals. It is therefore only reasonable to follow the Bible’s admonition to marry “only in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 7:39) Entering into wedlock with someone who does not share your religious faith would present an even greater problem than yoking a bull with a donkey.

Most do. Some think they can convert a non Christian to their way of thinking. Usually it works the other way. The non Christian brings the Christian down. In order to avoid this, most Christians follow biblical principals and date only those who are like minded. Fellow Christians.

My ideal wife is Christian. I want my kids to grow up in a Christian household. But it is by no means a requirement, jsut an ideal.

They should only date Christians, that way the rest of the world has a better chance of passing them by on an evolutionary scale.

It comes down to religion. My mom is one, and so is my "new" step-dad. She divorced my other step-dad because he wasn't into the Christianity like she was.
Love is love, and unfortunately, some people are blind to what is there, they only see what they perceive is right and just. Don't get me wrong, I believe and God and Jesus, but when you start judging others, then you better be prepared for you to be judged also.

Most christians will quote you bible on why light should not be with darkness (guess who is darkness here), or why you should be unequally yoked (guess who is unequal here).
It is a convenient excuse and one that is supported by non-christians too. Who would want prejudiced mates? I certainly would not accept a christian mate who had such views.

I prefer, but I don't. The last few girls I dated were atheist. I am sure it will be different when I actually get married.

Yes, because they would have more in common, less arguments and debates and share common values, goals and traditions. It also avoids hassles with families.
