The God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob had given Moses a memorial name for the Children of Israel to use for all generations. This memorial name is spelled in Hebrew with the letters Yod-Hey-Vav-Hey. This was a grand and glorious name and all the people knew it, spoke it, praised it.

Over the years, for fear of breaking one of God's commandments, the rabbis taught the people that how to say God's name was forgotten. And so it hasn't been used since.

Except by those whom God blesses and anoints, there are a select few who know His name and uses it correctly.

You will find where God gave His name to Moses in Exodus 3:15. Find a Hebrew bible and you will see it in God's native language, Hebrew.

Yes absolutely God has a name and wants people to know it.
No doubt everyone whom you know has a name. God also has a personal name to set him appart from all others.'Is not 'God' his name?' some may ask.No for 'God' is merely a title, just as 'President,' 'King' and 'Judge' are titles. We learn God's name from the Bible where it appears about 7,000 timesin thr older versions of the King James version Psalm 83:18
reads:"That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, art the most high over all the earth."Also, God's name is found in most Bibles at Revelation19:1-6 as part of the expression 'Alleluia' or Hallelujah.' This means praise Jah, a shortened form of Jehovah.

Yes. Using English letter, YHWH (in Hebrew) is that name God gave to Moses. It is translated as I shall who/that I shall (sometimes I am who/that I am). The future tense is important.

Jews do not pronounce this name. Christians have added vowels to get Yahweh or Jehovah.

"Jehovah" is derived from the Hebrew "Yahweh", (not sure if I spelled it right, but that's close), Which means: "I am that I am".
That's what the answer was when Moses asked God what he should call Him on Mt. Sinai when he was getting the 10 commandments.

Yes. God reveals who He is to us through our dealings in life. He is identified by His characteristics e.g. Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Nissi etc
Exo 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
Exo 3:15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name forever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
