after you log off this forum; when you've read statement after statement; seeing unbelievers taking eternity so lightly; joking about what a "Grand time" they're going to have in HELL? How does that make you feel?

dear opinionatedkitten:
Yes, we ARE warning you; believe it or not. It was ONE God who Created us all, One God who suffered and died or us all, and ONE God who gets to call the shots, and if He says that no one gets into Heaven unless they've sought forgiveness from Jesus Christ and repented of their sins, guess what, HE'S GOD! Call me hateful all you want , but I didn't make up the rules. I'm just OBEYING THEM!

Dear GTW....
NO SWEETIE; it's only HERE on earth that Greedy, Power-Hungry Men can be classified as you seem to think you can classify the Almighty God. Poor Darlin'...for ONCE we agree! EVERY soul DOES cross over....the thing YOU just don't seem to comprehend is that there are TWO possibilities as to WHERE it can end up when it crosses over! And BTW, Honey, I live in Canada, so step away from the political soapbox about how I try to use any of your laws to force ANYTHING on YOU. AND; if you DO happen to get SAVED, my soul will rejoice in seeing YOU on the "other side" ie HEAVEN as well. Until Take Care.

Well, it is sorrowful indeed but we need to pray the prayer of Jesus " Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing". They take it lightly because they do not believe in hell.
Hell is a real place and that is why Jesus talks about it more than about heaven. It is hard to understand how that can be anyone's choice. But what is sad that many good people are going to end up in hell because they did not make their choice.
I believe that God is knocking on our heart's door. He did that for me years. the door knob is inside of the door. I finally opened the door. And I am glad I did. He showed me the real life.

My dear misguided woman, you are free to live your life in fear of an imaginary place, but I am not buying it. Sin and hell were created to control the masses through fear. There is no hell.
Most souls cross over. You ridiculous bible has nothing to do with the eternal life of my soul. God does not care which road you take. God does not care if you take no road. The bible makes God look like a jealous vengeful bully. That is not the God that I believe in.
I feel so sorry for you. You allow your life to be controlled by men motivated by greed who lived around 2000 years ago. That is tragic. You use the bible as justification to spread hate and try to use our laws to force your ridiculous religious dogma on us. This country is not a theocracy. I will fight to keep your idiotic religion out of our laws for as long as there is breath in my body. When my body no longer breathes, my soul will see you on the other side!

"At this point, the religious wars in Europe ... were largely behind us" What? Learn some history. The reason that the pilgrim came to America was because of religious war. What about the 30 years war? A war between Catholics and Protestants, in which the main cause of the war was because one group was not the other group? At the time that people began to migrate from Europe to America, there was a large amount of violence and death over religion. That is why the minority groups (the ones who couldn't gain any advantage) fled to a different Continent. I don't need to talk about past atrocities though, Christianity is going just fine today. With Christian leads in the US calling for the death of gays, to Christians in Uganda actually killing gays, to Christians all over the world covering up the rape of children, there is no need to talk about the past.

I am so sick of seeing all of the questions and statements in the religion section of this. I wish that people would just keep their comments to themselves, and let us believe what we want to believe. I really feel sorry for them when they say that they are going to hell, and are "happy" about it. I pray for people like that because if they had God in their lives, they would know what happiness really is. They don't have that undescribeable feeling of peace and happiness and contentment knowing that no matter what happens here in this life, it will be ok because they have something better waiting for them after this life is over. I feel sorry for them, and am pretty upset that they won't leave us alone even if they don't want to believe it. We're not going and harrassing them, so they really need to have some respect!!!

Our job is simply to present the message.
Everyone makes their own choice.
Conversion is the work of the Holy Spirit.
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready always to [give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

I didn't really expect anyone to be offended by an Atheist saying they were going to have a, "grand time in Hell"! It seems to me they'd be pleased, as they are always condemning those same Atheists to hell.

Fine. I'll level with you.
You think unless someone is of your faith, they'll go to Hell, right? You believe that the more than 5 billion human being on this earth who happen not to be Christians because of their cultures are condemned to eternal suffering, right? You believe that because they have not accepted Christ as their saviors, Gandhi, the Dalai Lama, Hippocrates, Aristotle, Socrates, Buddha and anyone who has ever lived in a non-christian country are all going to Hell for eternity because they didn't choose Christ as a savior, right?
And then you tell me your God is a God of love...
Let me level with you: Christianity may have been inspired by love, but you are not. You are a very hateful person and you hide behind a so-called God of love because you're not even brave enough to face up to your own hatefulness. "But it is not I who wish to punish you, you say, it is God. I am merely trying to warn you of his wrath..."
That God of which you speak is made in your image. It is made in the image of your hate filled heart. You hide behind God because you're not even honest enough to admit your own hatefulness to yourself. You claim to love the maker of the Universe and hate the Universe you claim He created. And as long as you keep spewing this kind of believe or go to hell nonsense, I will keep mocking it like the fascist drivel it is.

I feel really sad and powerless. But if we plant the seed, God will help it grow. I feel really sad for Jesus. These people saying mean things about him. He died for them and they take it in vain. I love him. It is like when someone talks about a family member. It breaks my heart. God bless

I say a prayer and leave it in the hands of a loving but just God. When we have done all we can do (and this is but a fleeting chance to make our points) we have done all we can do.

I have learned a lot about people on this site, sadly but true it is painful to see so many who have no concept of God's love and grace. What makes it even more sad is that they keep condemning us as losers when it is they that are losing out on the gift of eternal life.
