Yes, mixed relationships do work when both people are really committed to making things work. There are some countries were mixed relationships are accepted a little better than others. Being from the United States, I realize that there are still some narrow-minded people that don't accept it very well, especially here in the south.

Yes, I have dated guys from another ethnic group. The way I see it, people are people, regardless of skin color or ethnic background.

All relationships are fragile, the worst are two people from the same group but different social classes (yee I am from the UK), if he is prepared to show tolerance when tolerance is needed and patience when that is called for then the partnership will work, its best not to jump the gun and get into arguments so easily, mixed relationships work as you are under pressure from your parents and society to make the thing fail, so you are both aware that you are in something very very special. I didn't like the comments from family that if he and I had offspring then our children wouldn't look like children from the neighbourhood, but then we've both worked in different countries for most of the time and are aware that we are more outsiders then belongers in most of those countries, and so we tended to think our relationship is normal.

Yes mixed relationships can work. I have dated a few guys from other ethnic groups, and we had our problems with society, but we got through them.

Yes of course they work. There is no reason they shouldn't. I haven't myself but my brother has plenty and he is getting married in a few months to a lady of a different ethnicity. - British by the way.

I treat all relationships the same, mixed or not.

Yes. I have dated a few guys that "aren't white". I dated this black guy..Brandon..for a little under a year, eleven months I think. We broke up because his mom didn't like me. She thought I was too light. Lolz. It was crazy but we're still friends.

I think that any relationship has potential. I live in Tampa, Fl. My boyfriend is from Honduras and I'm Puerto Rican! We are so different culturally! We get along fine!

You bet! I look pretty much like my avatar and my fiance is Asian and from Hong Kong. We both live in the US and think it's pretty cool that he had to travel half way around the globe to find me.

There is the added pressure of prejudice, from family, friends, and society, but they can, and do work.

Love is blind, and that's a good thing.

I am in the UK.
