Don't pay someone to do your taxes! That's ridiculous. File your own tax return and find out! It's simple to fill out the 1040EZ form and your state's 1040 form. It's really easy to do, and it's free to fill out and mail in! Think of it as practice for when you make big bucks in the furture! Goto the irs website for free forms and instructions. You could finish the federal in 10 minutes and know exactly how much you're getting back. Don't waste your money on H&R Block :)

You'll never "get it all back", that's absurd.

Good luck!

Still missing some information about your financial background.

Are you a dependent? Where do you go to school? Do you have any other income (i.e. bank interest, etc...)?

Best thing to do is crunch the numbers. Just download Form 1040(EZ) and UT (?) tax return (or whatever state the income is taxable in) and do the calculation instead of asking. It's not that hard! You'll need to break out the fed and state withholdings and just calculate the taxes appropriately.

Most likely, you mayl get some money back but it'll depend on the numbers as any good tax practitioner will tell you!

There's not enough information in your question to give you an exact answer.

If you made $19,000, you'll owe about $1209 in federal income tax. Whatever you paid for federal withholding above that, you'll get back.

This assumes you are not a dependent of anyone. If you are, you would get less back.

If you're not a dependent, you might qualify for educational credits for part of your tuition and fees - that would give you a bigger return. If you're a dependent of your parents, they'd be the ones who would get the education credit.

State taxes depend on where you live, so can't answer that part at all.

You will get a refund, but how much is impossible to say because you combined your Federal and State withholding. You will owe about $1100 in Federal tax and you have already paid that and more through withholding.

So file right away and get your refunds.

You won't find out until you actually do a tax return. Start with a form 1040-EZ, which is probably adequate for you, and see how it comes out. Read the instructions carefully to see if you can actually file that form; my guess is that you probably can.

I wouldn't think of doing my own taxes with any amount over 12k. Let a reputable company do your taxes for you and make sure it's one that knows the tax laws. You should get all your money back.

You might get some of it back. You'll have to prepare your tax returns to know how much you'll get back, if any.

without crunching the numbers, hard to say. buy turbo tax or go to a good accountant.
