poetic1, thank you for that scripture, but I didn't ask about transvestism, I asked about transsexualism. There's a difference. Does the Bible say anything about transsexualism?

Danny H, what is your scriptural basis? And does this logic extend to amputation, appendectomy, resetting broken bones, rebuilding mangled faces, etc? I'm not trying to be difficult, I honestly want to know.

The passage utilized most often is from Deut. 22:5 "A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman's garment; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD your God." (this, of course, has naught to do with transsexualism, but the Bible is often a harvest for the little bees).These passages (abbreviated) follow:
* Don't take a mother bird from her nest.
* Put a rail around your roof so no one falls off.
* Don't plant crops with vines.
* Don't hitch oxen and donkeys together.
* Don't wear cloth combined of wool and linen.
* Sew tassels on four corners of clothes.
* If a man marries a girl, but later doesn't want her and claims she wasn't a virgin, her parents are to bring blood stained wedding sheet to the leaders, who are to beat him and make him give 500 silver pieces to the father, and he can't divorce her. If the husband's claims are true, she's to be stoned to death at the entrance to her father's house.
*Men who have sex with others' fiancees are to be killed along with the fiancee. However, if it happens in the country, you should just kill the man, since no one could have heard the woman cry out. Raping single girls requires payment of 50 silver pieces to her father and marriage with no divorce.
*No sex with any of father's wives.
*He whose testicles are crushed or whose male member is cut off shall not enter the assembly of the LORD.
So, I guess Deut.22:5 proves nothing more than everyone is going to hell, regardless of their faith and praise. Why go on being content or happy? I wish I could find you another biblical quote, but they are all as illogical as the ones above and say absolutely nothing about transsexuality (which, according to some, is the same as cross-dressing. I alway thought it was genuinely about feeling that one is the wrong gender. I stand corrected).
Any of y'all who think transsexuality is against God's law ever seen "Boys Don't Cry"? Did you agree that Brandon should have been raped, beaten, and murdered? Or is that up to God to decide?
Sorry, Zero. There are no Bible quotes to support the idea that transsexuality is against God's law, or any law for that matter.

sexual behavior (elements of masculinity and femininity)
sex roles (drawn to typically masculine or feminine social role)
sexual arousal (particulars in what arouses a person)
Anyone who assumes that there is only one particular way for a person to be hasn't considered that there are many possibilities, and human beings are created with all of these in any combination or variation.

I find it interesting that you are asking about God's law when I just read in another question that you said there are no Gods. Why do you care? By the way, you are partially correct. There are no gods, just one God and He created you with specific intricacy for His purpose. He loves you and longs to know you. Your God-shaped void will never be filled by anything else but Him - I hope you choose to seek Him (and quiet your curiosity) and not turn your back. Search your heart.

I am posting an answer that I used on a similar question. I'm simply reposting it here.
By definition, it is immoral to undergo those procedures (transexualism). We, as we were born, are a living glory to God. Our bodies, minds, and spirits, with all their differences and individualities, are a remarkable statement of the variety and creative power of God. Since our bodies, our very lives, are gifts from Him, it means we ultimately belong to Him. We do not have the right to alter ourselves against how God created us.

God doesn't care about gender. Gender is only the way of propigating the species. God does care about people and their love for other people and their praise and faith in God, though.
