I would like to know ESPECIALLY on the subjects in books regarding astrology, maybe paganism, anything mystical (tarot perhaps) that they may believe were destroyed in these (this fire) in Rome? Was the Alexandria library in Rome?

Theory is that the original writings of Plato were destroyed--everything we have now is actually from notes taken by his students, not from Plato himself. Many of the writings *were* pagan, being from Greek, Roman, and Egyptian pagan cultures (among others), although that doesn't seem to have been the reason behind the burnings (that poor library went down several times). The Egyptians were known for magic, so they would have had magical writings. The Greeks were known for astrology and medicine, so there would have been those writings as well.

The Alexandria library was in Alexandria, a major seaport in Africa. All ships coming into the port were required to bring books for the library--any kind of book. Since there were relatively few books back then they would have been books reflecting the knowledge available in the world at that time. We can't know ESPECIALLY what books because they were destroyed.

I don't know this for sure, but I think scholars believe a lot of the content was greek manuscripts. If I'm not mistaken, the full manuscript of The Satirycon was supposed to be there.

So I don't know how much you would be getting in terms of mystical stuff. The library was in Alexandria Egypt.

it was in egypt, and my guess is the the history of the Africans who built egypt was likely destroyed, as that has been the pattern to erase black people from history.
