My bf and I have a great relationship. We've been dating for about 5 months now. Earlier today, he told me he was so happy we were dating and that he loved me a lot. Well, I just spent 3 hours playing video games with some of our friends (I was the only girl there). I tried to hint that I really wanted to leave, and he said, "Ok, I'll stop by later when I'm done." Well, I've been waiting about a half hour...where is he? Is this weird? I thought I was a cool girlfriend for playing video games...but, this is ruining our social life! Help! (by the way, we're law students, so we both live in dorms).

he's a guy and someone in the near vicinity has something that goes boom and makes noise (video games) my b/f and i also have an AMAZING relationship but some days i don't even bother with him b/c his best friend has a 360 and they get together with a bunch of their guy friends and play for hours...he'll appreciate that you can be involved in his fun time but remember that he still needs space to be with his fiends without you around otherwise he might feel trapped and confined he still needs to be able to have guy time without you around it doesn't mean that anything is wrong just that he needs room to still be himself

Oh man, I've seen this happen with all my boyfriends. Guys get soooo addicted to video games!!!! They are just big kids. You either just have to accept or find a guy who is a MAN and not a boy. With guys like this, if they are into video games, even their girlfriends can't compete. The guys will usually pick the video game over the girl! I guess that's why I won't date any more gamers. It like steals their lives away. Was this Wow?

Y are u waiting for him, dont u have a social life apart from just being with him?? guys play video games-so what. in the end they will miss u being around.

Maybe playing video games helps him unwind and relax. I am sure he loves you more then video games though. Maybe he thought you wanted sex and he wasnt in the mood.
