$25 to $50 if you're not going.

$75 to $100 if you are attending. I read somewhere that your gift should cover the cost of "your plate". (In other words, the amount the wedding couple is paying per person for the reception.)

If they are have a wedding registry find out where it is and either get them a 30.00 gift card or, buy the cheapest thing on the bridal registry depends on if they are a family member or not. Then you might go up to 50.00 it also depends on where you live what are the standards in your area? I know not a simple answers but all the factors have to be considered. It also depends on what you can afford to give. A present is a present not a requirement or an entitlement.
Good Luck!

I agree with Sassy. If you are going to the reception you try to cover your plate. If you are going by your self give between $75 to $100 with a guest $100 to $250 depending how formal it is. For example My plates are $ 114.00 per person so i would give $250 to $300.00. Plus we live in New york, so everything is expensive here. Depending on where you live, it could be cheaper. Use your judgement. You could always bring your check book and see how well the reception goes: food, decor, entertainment, and then write out your check after you got a feel for the place. Good Luck and hope you have a good time at your friends wedding!! :)

It depends entirely on what you can afford. For couple going to a wedding the norm is $200 and for singles $50-$100. Seeing as you said you don't know them that well I would say a nice photo album would be nice. They can be bought for around 20 - 30 dollars. So like I said it depends on what you can afford.

depending on your age...if your out of high school and have a job than 50 dollars is the least. But if you dont seem to have the cash try looking for great deals on items like household items -toaster,silverware, dishes and so on and it looks like you spent more than you did. If you are still in high school and dont have much money than 25 dollars is the least, and again look for something on sale or chip in with someone else if three people put in ten dollars you got a okay gift.

I would say anywhere between $50-$100, because even though you dont know them that well, they will definitely appreciate the gesture, and they won't forget it. It can also be beneficial whenever it's your wedding and they have to get a gift for you.

Most gifts range between 20-50 bucks, so I would say spend in between there. If you are not comfortable with that- pick an item from their registry and go with that.

On mine we chose gifts ranging from 10 bucks to 500, so you really would have a huge choice in there.

Depends on how much you make. But, if you're taking a date to the wedding, plan to spend a bit more. I'd say $50 is fair.

Around $50 I reckon - that's if you're invited to the wedding or reception. If you're not, then $30 is probably enough.
