its undeniable that its Saturday but church is sunday...
just for my information, are there any Christians that really "remember the sabbath and keep it holy?"

...keeping in mind that Jesus never came to abolish the law

actually the Sabbath began on friday night at sunset. Jesus even did a quick miracle on friday night because He knew the Sabbath was about to start.

Christians moved worship or going to church from Saturday to Sunday, because Sunday is the first day of the week and they wanted to start off the first day of the week praising God and worshipping Him.

Its just like starting your day off in prayer when that person wakes up every morning, but in this case Christians are starting the week by praising God.

Jesus said is it better to do evil or good on the Sabbath. If work has to be done, even on the Sabbath, then it has to be done. If someone needs help on the Sabbath would you ignore them?

Everyday for Christians should be the Sabbath, Christians should not limit God to only one day of the week by keeping it Holy. Everyday should be holy just like the Sabbath.

Sabbath is a concept of rest and reflection on God, one day out of seven. So whether it is Saturday or Sunday or another day you can set apart, why should it make a difference?. The change began when Jesus was raised from the dead on Sunday. The early day Jewish Christians continued to keep the Saturday Sabbath until the differences between Christians and Jewish people grew greater. Sunday as a day of worship recognizes Jesus' resurrection. Also, there are many laws in the Old Testament that aren't followed today...like the year of Jubilee when all property reverts back to its original owner and capital punishment for all kinds of offenses, even adultery (Jesus told the adulterous woman "Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more." instead of supporting the plan of the religious leaders to stone her.).

My view of the Sabbath is that God wants us to rest 1 out of every 7 days. I don't think He cares what day it is on, as long as we take that time out to focus on the important things. Also, some people feel that you can't buy anything on the Sabbath or get up and dance or ANYTHING. My feeling is that the Sabbath isn't about sitting around being bored, but a celebration that we don't have to be sitting around worrying about work or finances or whatever else. And I personally feel that in general I do remember the Sabbath and keep it holy, but I must admit there have been a few times I have completely slipped up and not rested or dwelled on things God doesn't want us dwelling on during the Sabbath.

Ufortunatly, thanks to the emperior Constintine and the roman catholic church, much of the jewish roots and influence of christianity was lost. He lived in a culture of many religions and when he accepted Christ, inorder to keep peace in his kingdom, he compromised. Everything we do in america has its roots in paganism, specifically from worship of the sun god Ra. This was the main religion of the Roman Empire of which constintine was ruler. All the days of the week are named after their false deities. sunday is for the sun god ra, monday is for the moon and so on. Even the months of the year. Christmas on Dec 25 is when they celebrated the birth of the son gods son. Easter is for the resurection of the son gods son, the god of fertility. Jesus was born around the end of sept. and the first part of oct. Every major event in the scriptures happened on Jewish Feast days. All this was filtered down thru the roman catholic church, which went to england, and from which came our forefathers, the puritans. which were people who broke off from the catholic church and eventually came to america. Thats why we got things mixed up here and most christians dont even know it. You are right, the sabbath is on saturday. However, God is rich in mercy, and christians, though we have things backwards, we dont worship false gods. Get with some jewish believers and they can set you straight on some things. Its a fasinating story of how all this came about. We have so many traditions, which are just that, traditions, and they are not based on facts. God is merciful. Hope this helps.

Because we did not ignore Paul's teachings in Colossians 2:16-19

"So don't let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality. Don't let anyone condemn you by insisting on pious self-denial or the worship of angels, saying they have had visions about these things. Their sinful minds have made them proud, and they are not connected to Christ, the head of the body. For he holds the whole body together with its joints and ligaments, and it grows as God nourishes it."

In Christ is fulfilled the Law and those who are in Christ have also met the requirements of the Law in Christ Jesus, not by ourselves. Now that's GRACE if you are not aware of it!

Seventh-Day Adventists go to church on Saturday, but nobody keeps the Sabbath the way the Jews do.

There is no such thing as a Messianic "Jew," there is only Chrstianity. Messianic "Judaism" is a Chrstian organization whose sole purpose is to fool unprepared Jews into converting. You can either be Jewish or believe in JC: you CAN'T do both, no matter what they tell you.

Well, your biblical history is a bit off. It was the Ancient Jews who celebrated the Sabbath on Saturday, and indeed Hassidic of fundmantel Jews still celebrate it now on that day. But Jesus was the one who himself said that "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath" when he was questioned by the Pharisees on why he worked and preached on that day.

he said that he fullfilled the law
Rom. 10:4: “Christ is the end of the Law, so that everyone exercising faith may have righteousness.” (Sabbath keeping was a part of that Law. God used Christ to bring that Law to its end. Our having a righteous standing with God depends on faith in Christ, not on keeping a weekly sabbath.) (Also Galatians 4:9-11; Ephesians 2:13-16)

I do! And it is great! And its Saturday, yes. Go Messianic Jews! Truth of Christianity with the feasts and observance of Jews! Jesus was the original Messianic Jew....He kept Judaism and believed Jesus was the Messiah! Praise Yeshua! But remember, we keep it out of love, not law.
