At the Exchange is your best bet. You might be able to find a dress uniform at the Army surplus store, but I wouldn't count on it. You could contact NEX at 1-800-368-4088 to see if they'll let you buy a uniform for him. I doubt going through their website would help though, since buying one online you need an authorized SSN.

You could always write a letter or ring the nearest naval base. Tell them of your predicament and say he would love his uniform to march in parades etc. That's what I did. I went to a band concert at the base spoke to an old mate, told him, being an ex muso, I needed it for ANZAC day parades. He rang the Q store I went down and got it. Very simple but you need the right connections. I had to pay but that was only about $200 in 1995 prices. You could always try your local vets organisation. I am sure they would help. If he was in Australia, I could help. Let me know how you go please. Good luck.

Tell him to contact the local Veteran's Administration (VA), the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) or the American Legion. They may have resources to help in this very situation.

You might try ebay. They'll often have uniforms up for bid.
