well take this comparison, usually when you get an average hamburger it has 4 ounces of meat. so two of those would make your 8oz. If you have a big hunger it would be ok.

depends on the cut of meat. is it prime rib, filet mignon or new york strip? they can be all 8oz. but different sizes.
