Get her on a regular feeding schedule, also regular potty breaks, more frequent to start. Take her to an area you want her to potty at and say "Take a break" or something like that. Praise her when she does and give her a small training treat. That is something that will help her want to "perform" and do her business in the right place.
Utilize a kennel cab that is the size just big enough for her to turn around in for the size she will be when grown.
Put her in there when you cannot supervise her, but without blankets or bedding while training. No water or food in there either but plenty when she is out of there. Always take her to potty before she goes in or comes out of it.
When she is out, supervise her closely and if you see her start to sniff and/or circle, pick her up and take her right out to her spot.
Just be consistent. If she has an accident, tell her something like "NO POTTY INSIDE" and then take her outside to her spot. REWARD her if she even acts like she is pottying or squeezes out a few drops. That means she knows what you want.
She'll get it. That's a smart breed. Some people litter box train small breeds. I don't like that but perhaps someone here will tell you about that option. GL with your dog.
Also, when she is in her kennel, give her a special treat for in there like a little Kong to chew on, or a Nylabone, but no food or water in there.

The mats have been a nasty proposal - in view that you've got truthfully already potty knowledgeable them. Now you have got to holiday an historical addiction and retrain onto a brand new one. You can do 2 matters: one million. Continue to make use of the mats however transfer it nearer and toward the door each and every week. Once the mat is on the door transfer it external at the grass to get the dog acclimated to making use of it outside. Make the gap smaller and smaller until the dog is not making use of the mat anymore as an help. two. Discard the mats all in combination. Feed and water the dog on a agenda. Put the meals down - deliver the domestic dog 10-15 min to consume. If he does not consume opt for up the meals and feed once more subsequent time. After the dog eats wait any in which from 15 min - 30 min and look ahead to indicators corresponding to... Running to a distinct spot (on the whole in which the mats was once), circling, immoderate sniffing, again arching, squatting, even scratching. When you discover those indicators click on the leash on - say your code phrase to move potty and take the dog external. Be sufferer. Take the dog to equal spot at any time when - he will be extra willing to move if it smells like him. Make definite for both step you select to NOT punish the dog for injuries within the residence. It makes the situation worse and creates a shy apprehensive puppy. And to closely deal with and gift your dog for going external. While your puppy goes potty external repeat again and again "cross potty". You'll be coaching your puppy to do it is trade on command. Also make certain to have a code phrase for going external to do the trade and an additional phrase to move external for walks or play. That means the dog/puppy will recognise what it is going external to do. Clean the mess with matters like Simple Solution or Nature's Miracle in view that they holiday down the enzyme the dog smells so it may not hold going to the equal spot. Also you'll be able to use factor corresponding to Boundery as a potty deterant to hinder the dog from making use of areas for your house as a bathroom. Good Luck

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://bitly.im/aMRLd

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

I'm training our right now. If you have a kitchen that has tile, and can be blocked off from carpet, use it. I put a doggie gate up...about $25 and easy to install. Keep them in this area during the night while you're sleeping. He's gonna pee and poop while he's out.....there's no getting around it....just take him outside when he does...but tell him no first. Put a bell or something at the door when you take him out and jingle it and say "let's go potty".....consistency is everything. He'll learn later to jingle it when he wants to go out. The tile is easy to clean, but you might want to put some newspaper all around and little by little start taking the newspaper out so he's confined to just one little area to train in. My dog goes best outside when I go with him, then tell him what a good boy and all of that when he does go outside, maybe a treat if you want. It's very time consuming, but you need to take them out about every hour or so. At night when you're asleep, that's your call. Just be patient as best as possible, reward with good acts, scold-don't hit when they screw up, and prepare to let them out often. After a while they won't want to pee or poop were they'll be sleeping, but they will on occasion if they can't help it. Good Luck!

I have always had the best luck by keeping the puppy in a cage(of course made up all nice and comfy). Try to feed him at the same times each day and after he finishes eating take him out to potty. Be sure and give him plenty of time and be patient. After the puppy does it's deed. Reward him with a treat and let him out to play for awhile. It takes a time any which way you choose to train a puppy so lots of patients and lots of luck.

DO NOT CRATE TRAIN!!!!!!
instead learn your dog's schedule. about 60 seconds after he wakes up he will have to go out and about five minutes after he eats. take the dog out several times each day. when you take the dog out say a command like "go potty" and give TONS OF PRAISE !! you have to make a big contrast between going outside verses inside. if the dog goes inside, show them the mess and say "no" if the dog puts his ears back he gets it. don't get mad at him, it is not his fault and he doesn't know that is it wrong. the onl time i would suggest using a crate is during the night, gods don't pee where they sleep. put your crate near your bed, you have a small dog so he will need to go out in the middle of the night. try to let your dog out right before you go to bed and really early in the morning.
once he is potty trained DO AWAY WITH THE CRATE your dog will bond to you better if he sleeps with freedom in your room or on your bed.
Good luck!!

Take him out first thing in the morning, about 15 minutes after eating, after napping and last thing at night. Each time you take him out say go potty or go out. Also give him a small treat each time he pees or poops and give lots of praise. You might also try taking him out every 60 to 90 minutes till he starts getting the hang of it. If you have a crate that's a good tool also. Do not free feed. Feed him 2 or 3 times a day at about the same time. If you use a crate give him about 45 minutes of free play time after he does it outside then put him in the crate till it's time to go out again. Go to this site and you can get some excellent information on crate training and potty training. http://www.rat-terrier.com/forums/Home/tabid/36/view/topics/forumid/4/Default.aspx

Get a book on crate training. It really is the best way to go. It protects your home and your pet. Puppies like to chew things and the crate protects them from eating something that could mess with their digestive system and cause a major vet bill.
