whitney housten is amoung the most talented of female singers. while it is not impossible to learn to sing similarly to her, the ability to sing is a gift that some people have, and others don't.
if you do build up the same strength and vocal control as whitney housten, there is no guarantee that you will sound just like her - your voice may be better suited to another style, such as jazz or musical theatre. but don't give up hope - with time you will develop a sound and style of your own.
if you are looking to improve your voice's ability to belt out those huge notes like whitney, the key is time, patience, and practice.
the first thing you should do is get a good singing teacher. even though there are many programs available on the net that claim to be able to teach you to sing like a pro, i assure you that without one on one guidance with a professional, you won't get anywhere.
the best advice i can give is to do strength and flexibility excercises with your singing teacher. when you sing, make sure you do not put any strain on your vocal chords - the work should come from your diaphragm. i do not want to give you any specific excercises, as i do not know your voice, or your strengths and weakneses.
look in your local paper, or if you are at school ask your music teachers for the details of a teacher who specialises in popular/ contemporary music.

First of all, be true to yourself. Can you sing like Whitney Houston? If you think there is a possibility then attend voice lessons or pick a good voice coach. However, God made each and everyone different in its individuality but sometimes dream do come true.
If you have a voice talent, then maybe, you can have your own originality too. It is better to be known as your own. Not a look a like or a sound a like. Good Luck!

It's very possible to learn to sing well. You just need to know the right methods. Learn here https://tr.im/3jLWZ

Singing teachers will cost money and can be expensive so they're not for everyone. Singing can be learned so it's not an "either you have it or you don't" kind of thing.

Whether you sound like crap or you're decent, I recommend this singing course. It's one of the best methods to learn to sing well in a short amount of time. It's all about using efficient techniques that work.

It is doubtful you can learn to sing like Whitney Houston. But singing in a gospel choir is a good place to find out what YOU'VE got, and to stretch it to the limit!

Unfortunately, nobody can "learn" to sing like Whitney Houston. She's got a God-given talent. Anyone can learn to sing tho. It's a matter of learning technics.

Don't learn to sing like Whitney - learn to sing to like you! I've been where you are. When I first started singing, I wanted to be "the next Mariah Carey". Luckily, I had an amazing, patient, wonderful coach who taught me to develop my own unique instrument, and who kept me away from the horrible habits that Whitney and other singers who rely on raw power over technique are plagued by. I hope you get a fabulous teacher who will help you focus on sounding like yourself.

Why would you want to? Yes, she's a good singer but the voice, your voice, is as unique as your fingerprint. That being the case, wouldn't you rather become the best singer that you are capable of becoming? In this, you would be following in the footsteps of a singer like Whitney yet honoring your own personal gift.
