With the destruction of crops throught the country/mainly California. I heard a report on the news about produce. They were saying that it would be scarce and expensive. Also, there may be many empty produce bins as well. I eat alot of fresh fruits and vegetables. Im wondering if I will be able to afford the new higher prices. Has anyone thought about this?

We grow some of our own produce, organically. We preserve a lot of it, can & freeze. What we don't grow, we buy in season, if a good price; if not, we buy frozen produce, which is just as good in nutrients, if consumed before the freezer life, and sometimes even buy canned, although nutrient level is a bit lower, and we watch out for the sodium levels. If you shop and prepare produce carefully, you can stay within the dailly allottment of required nutrients.

I go with the flow for the most part and will always purchase produce of some sort. I do bum out when the price sky-rockets on Oranges here in Idaho. Then there's Cherries, they are my chocolate.

She said most people won't be able to aord them.

I will grow my own produce. It will be grown organically, free of harmfull chemicals and pesticides, and free from e-coli. Best tasting and freshest and you can't beat the price!!!
