Wait a minute what do you mean almost died there is no cure for rabies so the dog should not be in a hospital, he should have been euthanized already. I think you are full of it. Good imagination though and look some folks fell for the story, you even had me going for a few minutes.
Buy him a six pack that should take care of it. By the way with the reputation that follows the pitbulls did you really need to make up a story stigmatizing pitbulls even further.

First off your 13 years old from your other questions & you always need help with your math problems so heres what I really think.
IS THIS THE SAME NEIGHBOR THAT YOU PISSED ON HIS CAR???
Because he is fat & lazy??
ANGER MANAGEMENT PROBLEMS
Why does your story start with you where "riding" your bike to you where "running" come on if your on a bike your not getting off of it to start running unless of course it was a stationary bike.
You swung a stick at a CHARGING pit bull??? & now the dog is in the hospital !! yeah & I put the house fire out w/a bottle of water.
Was this a dream or what ???
I notice the first thing you state is your neighbor is a punk.....you don't like him from the start.
Next time get your story straight or don't start till your not scared anymore.

It is the responsibility of the dog owner to make sure that the dog doesn't harm anyone. If the dog had rabies, signs would have been showing and any conscious owner would be aware of a behaviour change.
Don't feel bad for doing what you did. I, a dog and cat owner, would have done the same thing without a second thought if I seriously thought I was about to be badly harmed.
You saved several sugeries, etc, so don't feel bad. In time your neighbour will get over it, and if it doesn't, it isn't your fault and these things happen. Explain to the neighbour your situation and hope that things mend themselves...

Your neighbor, as you say, is a punk. You would be well within your rights to sue him because his dog attacked you. And since the dog had rabies, it's equally clear that your neighbor didn't even take basic care of his dog: If nothing else, he should have been vaccinated against rabies. You've got the Toledo police on your side in this case.

How does anyone know that the dog has rabies? the only way to test is to have the brain of the animal analyzed at a lab. I would not worry about the neighbor. If he is harboring a vicious dog then he will be fined anyway and possibly have the dog taken from him.

Sue the OWNERS, that is if your story is TRUE. It sounds kind of bogus to me. It happens to be "a pit bull" and of course "has rabies" and belongs to a neighbor? If it's all true, the fact that a rabid dog attacked you would mean the owners are negligent in a big way. So sue THEM. BTW, another reason I think your story is BOGUS is that the DOG would not be in an animal hospital getting TREATMENT if it had RABIES. It would be beheaded already and tested for rabies since it attacked you and there was a police report about it.

I am not sure what you mean by "what should i do".
Your neighbor should have kept the dog in his yard for beginners. (I am assuming you were not riding your bike thru his yard)
You did everything you could do to prevent personal injury. (You harmed the dog in self defense.) No need to feel bad about that.
The dog had rabies, so you probably saved some child (or anyone else) from being attacked by the dog. You should feel pretty good about that.
He has no grounds to go after you for damages because it was not on his property. Another one in your favor.

ok you're very confused. i hate to say lying but reason says so. rabies can only be confirmed by the removal of the dog's head. therefore he would not still be in the hospital. so as for what you should do would to be stop spreading propaganda and adding fuel to the witch hunt. shame on you.

i definentlt think you made this story up cause if the dog had rabies it's brain would have to be tested no vets going to keep a rabid dog alive muchless a hospital your story seems a little too fishy to me

I dont think you have to worry about anything sure you may feel a bit guilty for hitting an animal but thats understandable well im not sure if they have a shot for rabies but if not the dog will be put down but trust me it would be for the best for the animal and im pretty sure you dont have to apologise though perhaps as a relief and a friendly gesture send a sorry card.
