Take them out into the world and demonstrate God's love with them. My church did this once by having a free car wash and giving away cans of soda. It was a lot of fun. Or you could look for buildings in the neighborhood that need painted, or some other improvement project that the youth are able to do. Look for ways that your group can help ppl outside the church and do them regularly. We have Mercy Ministries at my church, which ministers to homeless ppl and prays for them. A few of them go to our church with the ppl who lead the ministry.

For the youth of the upcoming generations, I would encourage them that having the faith of a Christian gives each person strength to be faithful and true no matter which tradition you follow. That all tribes of "every tongue" shall one day be joined by the love of Christ, so as long as you have that in your heart, you can be at peace with all neighbors, of any religion or none at all.

Some may respond well and receive you as a child of God; others may reject you, so the love of Christ will give you strength to forgive and love your neighbor even when they cannot.

So all the problems in the world are caused when neighbors cannot love and forgive one another as Christ came to love us.
The curses of unforgiveness create not only rebellion and oppression that leads to crime and war, but causes the spirit and body to break down and invite disease and illness to take over.

So that is our job now, to incarnate the love of Christ in our daily lives, our thoughts words and actions, and bring this to people. Not only to heal the world of war and crime, but also to heal individuals of troubles, ills and suffering in their daily lives. Forgiveness of painful memories, and the casting out of negative demonic energies, have been shown to heal all forms of mental and physical illnesses; so eventually all sickness can be prevented if these are caught and corrected in time. (I would recommend the book "Healing" by Francis MacNutt edition 2003 or later, which is required reading in Seminaries for ministries.)

Besides having a solid understanding of how forgiveness and prayer for healing can change hearts, minds, and the world,
I would encourage youth to master the importance and skills in "mediation" to resolve conflicts peacefully and respectably, based on Matthew 18:15-20 where the point is to restore relations after a transgression. Only in Christ can some transgressions be healed that hurt humans too much so we cannot forgive without divine help. Also James 5:16 and Matthew 5:44. There has been much hurt and conflict between different people and different tribes and nations around the world. So by bringing the love of Christ, which allows the worst wars and damage to be forgiven and healed, one day all humanity will be one again with God, and live in the Kingdom of peace on earth.

So in order to prepare future generations, youth can start now by learning how to mediate and resolve conflicts peacefully. Peace is not the end but the means. And Jesus, being the one mediator between God and man, gives us all equal access to the Grace needed to overcome past transgressions and create peace where otherwise pains and unforgiveness leads to war.

Be an example. The hardest uphill climb will always be living the life you so preach. Relate to them and involve them in decision making. Do like the apostle Paul said and never "conform to the ways of this world".
And finallly give them hope. If a child can get to the point that they have a God who loves and cares for them and was willing to die for them, they wont ever need a man/woman to tell them how beutiful they are.

To be a "good" leader of youth, one should live by example and allow them to make their own religious choices, whether you like them or not.

Serve crack like peanuts and get them addicted to two things at once. You'll go broke but you'll sure get their attention.
Why would you want to have youth deluded by christian poo?
Is it so necessary to ruin their minds too?

If they are very young and not yet brainwashed by Bubba Preachers who have bought into Paul's mumbo jumbo, then you can simply teach them Jesus' plain and simple way of going to Heaven.

Jesus told us, "Forgive others for their mistakes. If you do not forgive others, then your father in Heaven will not forgive you."

If you hold a grudge, you will never get to Heaven.
