Please take your little girl to see an allergy specialist. Doctors who do not know anything about allergies will react in the way your daughter`s doctor has. She sounds as if she is getting a severe case of atopic dermatitis better known as eczema. Eczema will get to the point of actually being raw and bleeding. It can caused from exposure to pets, foods, or dairy products, or things in the environment such as dust, or the soap you are bathing her in or the detergent that her clothes are being washed in. It is miserable to have it as it causing burning and itching to the person who has it.

See a pediatric dermatologist ASAP and find out what the rash is - you may get samples of several medicines to find out which will work for you.
Here's my story.
My daughter developed a rash with an ear infection as an infant and after that she kept developing a rash on her tummy where her diaper was. I found that she was having a reaction to something within the diaper. After that the doctor recommended a gentle skin soap and clothes detergent and double rinse her clothes. She is now a teenager and has a nickel allergy that causes her to break out on her forearms, fingers and the back of her thighs (when she wears shorts) - the contact causes her to break out with a red bumpy rash that turns crusty and itches and can be painful. Her new dermatologist has her using a cream - ointments did not work (I don't know why).
Good Luck.

I'd have the doctor test her for strep throat. Little ones don't always complain of a sore throat, and I've had my kids in the doc's office for stomach aches which turned out being just one of the many symptoms of strep. When untreated, the strep bacteria can present itself in rash form because the bacteria gets into the blood stream and becomes "toxic." Most people refer to this as scarletina, or a form of scarlet fever.
On the other hand, a viral infection can last up to 2 weeks.

ive had something like that. still continue to off and on. now, ive had this recurring rash on my inner thighs for a LONG time. i would take her to a dermatologist and i wonder if it isnt eczema or contact dermatitis. if it is, then they will give her a steroid which should help. most skin infections, if im not mistaken, are bacterial infections. so she might need antibiotics if its not contact dermititis.

Take her to an allergist now. Try washing her clothes in dye/fragrance free detergent (Cheer Free, All Free), Downery Free and Bounce/All Free sheets. Clean everything she touches.
Try the allergist though...GP's don't always know what they're talking about...

Sounds like ring worm. If the rashes are somewhat round in shape with the edges being raised then it's probably ring worm.

have you discussed this with her doctor since getting the medication? She needs to be re-evaluated. it sounds like it is getting worse. see a different doctor if needed. she may need to see a dermatologist. She is too young to have to suffer with that for a long time.

Tomorrow you need to take your daughter to a dermatologist not just a general doc or pediatric doc.
