Drink lots of water and avoid caffeine. Also avoid places where you used to drink a lot until the cravings pass. Good luck and God Bless. Trying not to drink is very admirable.

Stay away from alcohol altogether if you have cravings. That indicates you are an alcoholic. Look up alcoholism and also look for a description of things like DTs and liver sclerosis. My father died of alcoholism, I do not want to see anybody go that way. It's terrible.

Don't drink and eventually the craving will subside. Depending on how long and how much you are used to drinking, it will take from a few weeks to several months. If you need help with this check out some AA meetings.

slowly... take up AA or stop altogether.... just think of the money you will save and the embarassment of being drunk you wont go through. Also, do it for your loved ones. I gave it up for my wife 19 years ago and going strong. Not going to say it is easy... it is not. but my wife is worth more to me than any amount of alcohol in the world.

go to non alcoholic drinks, they could be fruit drinks, usually bars have a pretty good idea how to make those kinds of drinks, so next time your out ask and watch how they make it so you can make your own at home.
