I'm Ramon a 14 year old kid who's kinda small for my freshman year of highschool. Today a buff dude a little taller than me decided to come at me punching(he was playing),but it still hurted,i got a few back. But the last one before my older friend stopped him,he hit me in my chest,it was hours ago like 12 or something,now its 10 at night it still hurts,when i coughed i felt it ache,and when i bend my body a little too much it will hurt. Am i alright,will i be ok?

If i put my hand on my chest when i cough it doesnt ache.

I got a cold thats why i noticed the pain when i cough,its not like i just walk around in pain,only if i bend the wrong way or something,nothing too disabling.

Hi, Ramon. It sounds like a bruise. Similar to when you get hit with an airbag during an accident, but if it is still hurting profoundly in 24 hours, I would definitely ask your parents to take you to the Doctor. It is better to have something like that checked out than to let it grow into a bigger problem, ok? I hope you feel much better in the a.m. Sleep well!
P.S. Don't be so imtimidated that you let this happen again. It is OK to tell someone to quit playing around. You can do it in a joking way but be firm.

If he hit you right in the center of the chest, he may have bruised your breastbone, but something like that could be serious. It wouldn't hurt to get looked at by a doctor. Especially if it doesn't feel any better by tomorrow.

It might be just a very deep bruise. If so, it will fade off. If you're still hurting tomorrow, tell your parents so they can take you to a doctor for a check-up.
