Who thought of the word wicked when they first heard of it or saw it on the internet? I did and avoided it until I realized it was relatively benign.

I thought they were advertizing how wicked they were by using that name. Benign relative to what? Satan himself?

It's long enough ago that I'm not really sure any more, but I think I thought of wicker and Tiki, both of which seemed fairly benign to me.

Actually, when I was honeymooning in Tahiti I learned that some view Tiki statues as places to keep evil spirits housed so that they won't get upset and make mischief, but that could be the influence of Christianity.

I was already familiar with wiki by the time I heard of wikipedia. It describes a website where you can add and edit content.
