yes it is ok to freeze this, just be aware that it will dry out a bit when you thaw it. This is ok though to use for shredded or crumbled cheese, just don't expect to be able to slice it.

I don`t like doing it. I have before but it when it thaws it just turns out all weird because of the Moisture. I, personally, would not recommend it.

Yes. It will not be the same though. i would recomend you keep it in the original package, wrap it in Seran (clear) wrap then foil.

yes you can but wrap in foil ,then a plastic wrap.i have had good luck doing this with cheddar cheese.

i only do this w/ Parmesan or Romano--they're drier and can last almost indefinitely in the freezer. i take out a hunk, shread some then toss it back in.

If it is vacuum packed, yes. Just use it quickly when you unfreeze it.
