Yes I am. I was diagnosed as a schizophrenia paranoid over 40 years ago and it is not as bad as most people think. I have been on neuroleptic drugs for most of this time and they help get rid of the hallucinations. I have not heard a voice in 10+ years and was able to work in my profession for 15 years. I also attended a couple universities to stay in touch.
Although the disorder started out with very severe hallucinations I was lucky in two ways. I was put on anti-psychotic neuroleptic meds right away.and I was determined I was not going to give in to the voices and other hallucinations. Although I have had trouble with depression brought on mainly by the ongoing negative attitude of some people toward those who have the disease this positive attitude (along with the meds) has enabled me to get rid of the symptoms and live a fairly normal life.

i think others would say i am. i have many mental diorders which make it hard for me to function in society. without my meds i would be in bad shape.
