get it out now.. be up front and honest.. that really is the best thing to do.. you do not want to do anything to hurt his credit and flip it, you do not want his credit to hurt you.. TALK ABOUT IT! you never know he may be able to help you get out of your hole with a few tricks that he may know.. credit counseling may be a good idea too.. best to get a handle on things befoere you add anything more like a house.. (you may not be able to if you are in too far and have bad credit) good luck and take care!

I assume you are not engaged or anything serious like that, just living together and only for 11 months. He will know soon enough if you have to file for bankruptcy through the mail, so why not be honest and let him know, (even though at this stage I dont think its any of his business) maybe he can help you through this with advice, etc. Now is the time to gain his trust, by telling the truth because if you are intending to buy a home together later it will come out then when you apply for a loan, then he will not be a happy chappy if you cant get a loan because of your default, and you have not been honest with him. Then on the other hand if you dont intend on him being around by then, I would keep my business to myself, like you have been doing already. Hope this helps, Good Luck

Girl you should tell him, that isn't something you keep from someone. It really shouldn't matter but if you plan to have a future with him you should be able to talk to him about everything even your problems. Too many times people break up because of MONEY.. Just be honest keep it real. Even if you file bankruptcy you can still get a house because you are legally bound to your mortgage you cant file again for another 6 or 7 years. just let your man know the truth he deserves that. Answer this: Wouldn't you want to know? Especially if you are planning a future?

If you are that serious then you should certainly tell him. Of course, if you don't eventually it'll come out much worse than if you had just told him. But if you are going to buy a house together and one day hope to get married, then there are certain things that you need to share with each other. This is one of them and the time is now! good luck

If you are in a relationship that is serious (and yours sounds that way), then you need to come clean.

First of all, in a relationship you need to be 100% honest in everything.

Second, if you two are planning to buy a home, then you each need to know the financial status of each other.

I would tell him as soon as possible.

Good luck!

You had better come clean asap. He may feel betrayed if you allow him to build his hopes up about getting a house only to find out that your credit is in the trash.

If you respect him at all you'll come straight on your finances. Nothing is worse than lying about the problems your having,Even if it is lying by omission. Tell him now before he finds out some other way.

Let's start by saying, I would not take advice from a person who can't spell, Lola. A relationship is built on trust.
