I can't remember the figure... but I know the money was good. But, the reason it was so good was because you basically live in what they call "bunks". This is a housing area for several stewardes. Very small. Basically just somewhere to sleep. No need to get an apartment you are alway on the go. You don't get much time at "home"... but when you are home and wanna catch a plane and go to another city you can for free. Even go out of country on your free time as well.
The qualifications are not much. You have to do a resume and an interview. The interview is everything. I recomend looking into it. It has some great perks for a young person that isn't tied down with kids. Plus you get to travel the world/country.

There was a show on the Travel Channel about their training is more extensive than I would have imagined. They have to learn all the company policies, federal safety standards, all kinds of evacuations and self-defense. Later, I started going to an aquatics stadium where I live and they trained there for their water evacuations. They had to get into rafts with their clothes on and go through the procedures fully dressed.

I thought they were just a bunch of pretty faces, but after watching that show, I have a high respect for their training and professionalism and feel safer knowing they are that well trained.
