why! they are not available plus with the cost these days, they are pretty inexpensive and disposable. I wouldn't waste any more time on this search

The one slot toasters were invented in 1962 and are known as Bachelor/ette Toasters. You can try both Russell Hobbs and General Electric. They have one on the following link under toasters.

Sure... it's called a toaster oven. The ultimate multitasker, it also doubles as a small oven when you're heating up frozen appetizers and whatnot. I've seen them as cheap as $25 at discount stores like Walmart.

why would you ever want just ONE slice of toast??? It's the best. Save the second piece and make croutons

Buy a 2 slicer, cut in half, sell the other half on eBay.

Or install the other half in your dashboard so you can make and eat toast on the way to work.
