Depending on your age, go to clubs. Learn to speak the language and get to know and understand the culture, both here and in Japan. Visit restaurants, museums and better still, go to a community college or university.

Put an ad in the paper for Japanese lessons from a Japanese person. Then, once you're getting Japanese lessons from that person, if they're not a cute Japanese girl, ask them where you can find one.
