No map, did you some how read the word 'all' in what I typed? read it again because all isnt there.

I am referencing pictures, as well as seeing first hand, signs at ever protest march that im aware of that went on in which many people were holding up signs saying that in effect the southwest belongs to Mexico. That and dont tell me you havent seen dozens of posts on here saying the USA stole the land from Mexico.

Mexicans do not believe that California and the southwest belong to them and there is no plot to re-take it. I dont care how many Mexican flags and stupid reconquista signs you saw at the marches. I am a Mexican American and I grew up in a heavily Mexican community. Nobody I know was ever taught that this land belongs to Mexicans. I never even heard about all this stupid reconquest nonsense, and that's all it is, until after there was a push for immigration reform. The reconquest myth is being used to rallye stupid voters who would believe such a thing. By the way, I am not pro amnesty, as that is a generalization. Immigration is much more complicated than that.

No they don't believe that they're in their homeland, what makes you think that they are? They don't believe that the southwest belongs to them, even though it did at one time, however, we got the southwest as part of an agreement after a war back in the early 19th century had ended. I wish people here(mainly the anti-illegals) would wise up and realize that a 'reconquista' is a myth that was made up by white supremacists.

The US fought a civil war to keep the southern states in the Union so there is no chance in hades we would ever allow California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas to leave the union and become part of Mexico. That will NEVER happen, even if every single citizen in those states was Mexican and spoke Spanish.

They believe it because that is what they are being told in Mexico. They believe that roughly half of America is "Aztlan" some mythical place stolen from them by the Gringo. This would be a similar formation as "Palestine" which was never inhabited by Arabs, but that every member of the UN wants to return to the Palestinians. The truth is that it never really existed as a state in the first place.

The Democrats are hoping the illegals are uneducated, since they will vote for them.

I don't think it's pro-Amnesty people who believe that. I think it's the Mexicans who are here illegally, who are looking for excuses for why they shouldn't have to apply for citizenship legally. Everybody who doesn't want to do things the right way, has an angle. It's like when lazy people who have NOTHING wrong with them, won't work...and claim they 'can't' find a job because someone else is keeping them down, so they should be handed everything without having to work for it like everyone else.

my boyfriend went to prep school in mexico, and he said what you are hearing is some version of the truth...but not quite. he said they teach that the US DID buy Mexico from the Mexicans, but that the guy that sold it was the worlds greatest fool, and was basically taken advantage of by the US. Kind of like..taking candy from a baby, the guy was in such shape, it was almost a "crime" to take advantage Mexico in that way. That is what he, (my boyfriend, one single person) believes people are refering to when they say the US stole the land, and that is was rightfully theirs. Much like we say, "I got this car for a steal!" We know we got someone in a bad moment, and we capitalized on that.

he also said that in some really crappy schools, with crappy teachers, the teacher may just be teaching whatever he/she thinks...

What ever it was, it isn't anymore. We fought, we kicked their butts, they lost and we PAID them for the privilege and for the land. (to the tune of $15 million.) A deal's a deal. It's signed sealed and delivered.

If they want to cry about it , they can go cry a river somewhere else. This is the United States of America. If they want to come here legally fine, if not they need to stay out.

No AMNESTY.

Well if you look at the "Good ol days" maps, you can see that Mexico when clear up as far as Northern California utah area, and as you can see that is where most Mexican population is in the US. Since we americans love to conquer in the good ol days, Mexicans of today still think we took their land from them. I noticed some mexicans like to wave their flag more then the us flag. If you don't believe me about how large Mexico used to be, check out this map on my source section.

Amnesty is a kick in the face to all the people (including myself) who immigrated to America legally. Instead of going through the hassle and expenses of getting citizenship, I guess I should have just hopped a fence.

Are you so uneducated that you think that everyone thinks the same on a particular issue? My position supporting what you call amnesty has nothing what so ever to do with any territorial claims or any specific nationality.
