metallman.... you're absolutely right, i am a competitor in IASCA's X class and also in the 'run what you brung' class. anything over 160 decibels you are not allowed inside of the vehicle.

as for damaging your internal organs, anything over 160 decibels can cause your heart to palpatate (skip) because of the confined spaces and the high sound pressure.

Nope, i heard of this rumor before, but nope, but a Joint strike fighter with a Pratt & Whitney engine has powerful enough vibrations to liqueify your organs if you stay there for a prolonged time just before the exhaust ducts. We are only allowed to make fine tune adjustments at full power on ground for 17 seconds at a time. So we must tag team with someone else. But the Subs you're talking about will never reach this level.

No. That's rediculous. If the human body can last 12 rounds in a boxing ring with little to no lasting damage, there's no amount of air pressure produced by a speaker cone that can damage your organs.

although i dont know the science of it, i've heard that it can screw with your heart. dont know if its true or not, but thats what i've heard. also, there has to be a reason why no one in extreme SPL compition, the guys that go 170 db and more, stay in the car while its on. infact, i think its in the rules that you cant be in the car.

Yes, sound can damage your organs. I played rock music too loudly and my brother kicked me real hard in the testicles. So yes, sound can cause damage to organs.
