whenever she talks to my brother on the phone and I'm in the room she acts very secretive and uncomfortable. I always know she is talking to him because she acts this way. My brother is very secretive and always try to hide things from everyone (paranoid). His famous words "don't tell anybody". Is this normal for a mom to act?

Unfortunately people like that act really weird...to be honest the "secret" is probably not worth knowing. I think they get off to knowing other people are curious about what they are saying...which is probably nothing. I dont understand people who act like that . I would ask mom why she behaves that way...could they be discussing you and your behavior? That happens too. Just ask? If you dont get an answer dont worry...i have a close friend that is that way she thinks everything is a secret. When she talks she even whispers even if noone is around. She ask me to keep it a secret that she needed help moving swore me to secrecy and I dont know anyone in my family...dont worry its nothing ...their nuts.

Don't worry about it, your mother has lost her mind and took your brother on the same ride that she is on! The loco train! Just be happy that she hasn't turned you into a loco in the cabeza(head) !

If she just does this with him then mayb she is doing it to please him. If she is acting secretive on her end then he may feel better.

Please don't be concerned about it. If she's treating you with respect, that's all you should be concerned about. I know it's not easy. Good luck.
