Your grammar is off. It should be 'surprises'. Among other things. This really isn't very good. I don't mean that to be rude. If it expresses your thoughts, great... but it's the poetic equivalent of hitting your reader on the head with a sledgehammer made of bacon.
Suicide is played. Getting high is overrated. No one is ever totally satisfied, and simple minds rarely surprise.
