They can get a female pregnant just as soon as they are ready, different in all dogs. I personally choose to wait until my males are at least 18 months old but I do know of people who use them as young as 9 months to breed.

No female must be bred in the previous her third cycle no less than, and ideally not till she is over 2 years previous. Her physique desires time to end growing to be thoroughly in the previous putting the rigidity of a being pregnant on her, and you decide on time to establish that she is healthful and has a solid good temperament. The age of the male isn't that significant, inspite of the reality that he should additionally be mature sufficient to have exceeded a radical wellbeing screening and be free of any behavioral issues that could get exceeded directly to the doggies. the dimensions of the male could be significant if the female is lots smaller. A small breed female donning better breed doggies is positioned by way of spectacular and pointless rigidity because of the fact the doggies would be lots better than what she is supplied to deal with and whelp...and it could additionally be deadly for her.

a male dog is usually sexually mature around 8 months to a year, but depends on the size and the breed of the dog. you should wait until the dog is 2 years old and has not shown and has been screened for genetic health probelems. you should spend the time putting show titles and champoinships on your dog. you should only breed to better the breed of your dog. if not have him neutered. it's better for his health and temperment and safety.

As soon as they start humping your leg. Usually after the first year, or sooner, depending on their size. Check to see if the dog has all its 'parts' fully developed. Awkward :S
