I wish I had a good work ethic, but I don't! I would like to become a better student, and most of all, I would like to know how to study better. I'm good at cramming, but not at remembering the information for a long time. Any suggestions?

Figure out what time of day you are at your best to study morning or evening.
Start studying at least a couple days before the test. Write the material on index cards that you can carry with you and look at it when ever you have a spare 10-20 minutes, this repitition will commit it to long term memory. Also writing the material out helps commit it to memory. Give yourself a reward when you have studied hard.
Good Luck.

read read read as much as you can!! that's the easiest way to learn new things. I have the same problem with studying if I don't plan at the beginning of the semester. What I do is designate a specific amount of time every day (or 4 or 5 days a week) to study. I'll set aside an hour or two or three every day. EVERY day I make myself study something. it's easier to learn the subject instead of just having to cram and not learning a thing.

SQ3R look it up on line. There are several very excellent similar methods. The letters stand for Survey, Question, Read, Recite , Review. The method is easy to learn and will improve your comprehension dramatically and cut your study time too since you will not have to go back and relearn everything for a test. I learned this methos in college as a freshman. I wish it had been taught in middle school! I graduated from college with a 3.95

I find it works if you start earlier for studying. Say for the final exam you start studying a month in advance for ten minutes a day. That may seem like a long ways away but its only ten minutes of your life so hey. This also works well and then you can ask your teachers for help when you get to a problem.

Hope this helps.

i've got self belief yah, I had the right comparable subject earlier this year. I purely started thinking approximately my destiny and desperate crap, if i don't shape up i would be screwed for a occupation or internship or w/e interior the close to destiny. purely initiate by using looking a place the place you experience gentle interpreting, someplace quiet the place you may focus. Starbucks or a bookstall is usually a solid selection, and that i actually like doing artwork outdoors someplace. as quickly as you get right into a on an wide-unfold basis development it will common to maintain that up. Take a ruin and decide for a stroll in between matters, or purely get it over with and end each thing at as quickly as, in spite of works for you. It fairly purely comes right down to focused on on getting it executed, and doing properly on finals and exams.
