It depends what city you're moving to... like if you're moving to Sydney I'd say catch the bus! But if you're moving to somewhere small like Adelaide you'll be fine. Adelaide is a breeze to drive in, due to the genius city designers who made it a grid layout with barely any one way streets so it is super easy to navigate. But anyway, my advice is to start off driving around the suburbs, and once you're comfortable there go into the city on Sundays (least busy time for traffic) and practice, then try the middle of the day, then avoid peak hour like the plague! Just be patient and keep your wits about you, let people into your lane when they need to get in etc. Or catch public transport - in a city like Sydney or Melbourne it is a much better option than driving and services run often enough that it's not usually inconvenient at all. Good luck, I'm sure you'll be fine! If grannys can do it, you can : )

be aggressive, not violent, when you see a chance, with caution in your mind also, try to make the other driver think your going so they stop, then go. #1 rule of driving in the city.. dont let any1 cross the road. its a nice gesture, but Bubba behind you might not feel the same way. plus most people who walk in the city are used to J-walking. Drive with a friend whos used to driving in the city first, just so you can get the feel at first.

If you like your car your best bet is to not learn how to travel through the city.. because once you learn the tricks of how to drive through the city... youll realize that the real trick to driving through the city is by sitting in the back seat of a Taxi.

Most people dont drive in the city.. too much money.

Is there someone that you feel has good driving skills that can drive with you the first few times, just to ease you into it.

You need to be cautious but decisive when you drive in the city.

Good Luck

You'll get used to it, there is no magic formula. Best advice I can give you is don't drive during rush hour times until you're used to driving when it's dead. Also be patient, and don't change lanes a lot.
