Why did I get attacked for my hunting question?

I don't understand why some people have this sort of attitude that just because someone doesn't know a lot about something and has some questions about it, that they are automatically against the thing they are questioning about. Seems as if we have some really defensive people here.

Because some people on this site are immature and dumb, sweetie. Just forget about it and remember this: it takes real guts to be mean in someone's face than doing it via Internet. Internet bullies are sad little people with pathetic lives and they feel so sorry for themselves that they attack anyone they can on the Internet because there's no way the person he's attacking and get to them. So just forget about it, and cheer up, and keep posting your questions!!! :D

I'll answer this question also. At first I read your question as a put down towards hunters.Others must have felt this way also. If you were really trying to understand hunting then I hope I shed some light on why some people enjoy the act of hunting.

After reading both your questions I would say you got attacked because your question came off that you had a chip on your shoulder and were putting people down for liking something different from you. Your question did not read as a neutral or "just wanted to know" question, it seem loaded and judgemental.

People usually seem to react by attacking if they feel they are attacked.

there are alot of people who just love to be jerks. im not entirely sure why myself, but imho, you should only offer your advice on a topic if you feel it somehow helps. theres nothing wrong with correcting someone, but totally putting them down is stupid. alot of people do it on the internet because they simply cannot in person. many of them would be brutally beaten if they said half of the things they say to people on the internet. others most likely have problems, and they feel better by putting others down. many sick people out there, best just to ignore them.

edit: after reading you other question, it doesnt seem like you were "attacked". i would expect you would though, you basicly told a bunch of hunters that their sport has no point. there are alot more people who try to ask a question, and they are attacked by angry hippies who think hunting is wrong. my question for you is, do vegitarians do any research before the assume eating meat is bad? seriously, its a natural part of life, without it the ecosystem would be unbalanced. and also aren't plants living things too? how is killing a plant any lesser of a sin than killing an animal?

I went back to your original question and didn't think you got attack that much. You got a lot of postings and I think the few sticks out more. To give you my opinion on hunting. My old roommate who is buddhist and a meat eater once called butchers evil, because they kill animals. I thought he was being hypochritical and I decided that everyone who eats meat should hunt once to remind them that what they ate was once alive. THose who can't kill should just eat veg.
My question for you is why this site has alot of witches? I thought they were suppose to be rare.
