BTDT and would rather die than go through that again!!! HORRID... I was seeing a new Dr and he took me off cold! I was a freakin mess and I wanted to just die.

I finally got back with my old insurance and got to see my old Dr.. He gave me a prescription right away and he was angry the other Dr took me off it like that. I had/have been on it for 10 years.. Some Dr's are freaking idiots!

PS: the benzo I have been on is Klonopin

The withdrawal, because look at what the alternative is you are giving. I don't know about coming off of benzodiazapine, but I think if I can come off of a $500 daily cocaine habit, the benzodiazapine should be a breeze. Where it is you or someone else, I wish them the best of luck.. It will be tough as hell, but every day will get a little easier and a little easier and then a little easier; hang in there.

I just started taking valium (benzodiazapine drug) and I ran out yesterday and i think i'm going threw withdrawls right now but i cant say that i'd rather die so maybe i'm not having a really bad withdrawl.
For those of you who don't know benzodiazapines are sedatives like valium, xanix, ativan.

I went through withdrawals (in a hospital) just last August from Ativan, Xanax, and Soma. The first 2 weeks were pretty bad and there were brief moments I thought I was going to die. By week 3, I was feeling a bit better because the doctors put me on Phenobarbital to calm the withdrawals and started me on Topamax (an anti-seizure medication that they use for anxiety). They increased the Topamax and decreased the Phenobarbital the rest of the week. By the end of August, I was Benzo-free! It was well-worth it. I like being free of all that crap and I don't miss it. When I get nervous, I do my deep-breathing.

The withdrawal, because seem at what the alternative is you're giving. i do not study about coming off of benzodiazapine, yet i imagine if i visit go back off of a $500 each and each day cocaine habit, the benzodiazapine should be a breeze. the position it truly is you or some different person, I choose them the better of success.. it truly is going to likely be demanding as hell, yet each day receives slightly a lot less annoying and slightly a lot less annoying and then slightly a lot less annoying; dangle in there.

Huh? Benzodiazepine withdrawal isn't very bad. Been there, done that. As long as I didn't have any place to be the next day that I needed to feel good for, I was fine.

I'd far rather drink or smoke pot, all benzos are a poor substitute for booze and by comparison a piece of piss to quit. Even quiting smoking is harder. So live yeah, have a few drinks instead, doctors orders.
