Most religions do teach that bad people will go to a fiery Hell of eternal torture Hell Do you know that even Good people go to Hell when they die? Hell is really just the common grave of mankind,
Have you ever seen someone tortured? Hopefully not! Deliberate torture is sickening and abhorrent. What, though, of torture inflicted by God?Can you imagine such a thing? Yet this is exactly what is implied by the teaching of Hell an official doctrine of many religions.
Imagine for a moment, the following horrific scene:A person being roasted on a hot iron plate. In his agony he screams for mercy, but nobody listens. The torture goes on and on, hour by hour, day by day without any pause!Whatever chrime the victim may have committed, would not your heart go out to him? What of the one who ordered the torture? Could he be a loving person? In no way! Love is mercyfull and shows pity. A loving father may punish his children, but he would never torture them!
Nevertheless, many religions teach that God tortures sinners in endless hellfire. This is claimed, is devine justice. If that is true, who created that terrible place of eternal torment? And who is responsible for the excruciating agonies inflicted there? The answer would seem obvious. If such a place really exists, then God would have to be the creator of it, and he would be responsible for what happens there.
Can you accept that? The Bible says:"God is Love"(1John4:8)Would a God of love inflict torture that even humans with any measure of decency find revolting? Surely not! Still, many believe that the wicked will go to a fiery hell and be tormented for ever. Is this teaching logical? The human life span is limited to 70 or 80 years. Even if someone perpetrated Extreme wickedness for his entire lifetime, would everlasting torment be a just punishment? No it would be grossly unjust to torment a person forever for the limited number of sins that he can commit in a lifetime.
Who knows the truth about what happens after we die?
Only God can reveal this information, and he has done so, in his written word the Bible. Here is what the Bible says:"As the[beast]dies, so the[man]dies; and they all have but one spirit......All are goingto one place. They have all come from the dust, and they are all returning to the dust

I have friends that don't believe in the same thing as I believe. I sometimes pray that God will help them find the right path. I do care, but I'm not going to argue with them over religion. That's not what my friendships are based on.

Allah the only one God spoke in the holy Qur'an on Surah 2 Al Baqarah (female cow) that all unbelievers are going to hell and they will be burnt together with satans in a very hot hell fire. stones. They will be given a very hot boiling water for their drinks and bath.Their skin will be blistered so many times.Their foods are only zaqam trees full of thorns. They will always feel hungry and thirsty. They will have no help.and they will desperate full of sorrow.

One of my main problem with Christianity when I was a believer. My brother died an unbeliever. He was a good person, a kind man. He was in an accident and died. My grandfather told my mom point-blank that he was burning in hell as a nonbeliever. My mom cried for hours and hours.

I can't worship a being that sends good people to hell for not believing the contradictory words of some moldy old book. It's tyrannical. I'll believe in the Xian God if and when he performs some decent modern-day miracles. Even then, I'm not sure I"ll worship him - I don't want to go to heaven if my family and my fiance go to hell.

I think it's time people need to stop personalizing this. It's not my idea that people go to hell. The bible says the only way to heaven is through faith in Jesus Christ. The bible has been around a lot longer than I have. I merely believe it is true.

You don't have to believe it, neither does anyone else. Yes I know people who don't....I don't walk up to them and tell them they are going to hell. But if someone asks me what I believe is true, I will say, I believe Jesus. He said there is no other way to the Father.

It is not us, the Christians, who determine who goes to heaven. God has spoken, through His word. We merely point the way to the cross of Christ as the escape from eternal punishment. Believe it or not...it's your choice.

first, we do not say that.
God says that.
second, we want our friends to spend eternity with us in Heaven but the choice is theirs to make.
we cannot force them to believe.
we can't convert them.
we can't save them.
that is between God and themselves.
all we can do is share the truth of God.
lastly, God does not send people to Hell.
people send themselves.
it is God's wish that none should perish.

Maybe those non believers werent exposed to God .. Or maybe they were turned off by having it shoved down their throats. Surely some must off rubbed off onto them. I know some might believe in something. We all get up in the morning . They have to believe that they will wake up .. have to drive to a job. Fight traffic. etc.. They must believe that someone or something is keeping them going.? Right? Or is this just fate? Can will believe in fate? Will fate keep you from hell or will it help you get to heaven.?

God created man....he gave man a choice. That choice (like all) has blessings and curses depending upon the choice made. Hell was not created for man specifically but for Satan. Man chose wrong, which brought death into existence. Jesus came to give man a new choice. He paid the price (only Him). Now we as individuals can choose. God even gives us the answer....He tells us he places the choice of life or death before us....then he tells us to choose life. If we choose not to except Jesus, the we choose Satan.....(Life or death) not other options. Choosing Satan will lead to Satan's fate...Hell.....therefore...as mentioned before.....if someone goes to hell, it by their own choice, not God's.

well, if that were true, hell will be one hell of a crowded place

Wow, you sure stirred up a hornet's nest here! Yikes!

OK all these pious post got me thinking: I cannot recall a single mention of hell at least not in the Gospels which are supposed to contain the real teachings of Christ. (BTW: As fas as I know, the Jewish religion has no hell.)

there are.........verses where ( hell) was used for those with no hope for ressurection (rev 19:20)

but its symbolic of destruction.....not fire

notice why some bible say.hell is thrown into the LAKE OF FIRE
REV 20:19

god dont want people to be tormented forever on hellfire.........jeremiah 7:31

even fire is not present on everlasting fire used in jude 7

but the effects of everlasting fire is total destruction.not forever torment...........

if hell is hellfire......it would not be right to say jesus is in hell...........acts 2:31

or lazarus and abraham was in hell......acts 2:27 and luke 16:24

but in those verses.hell (supposedly HADES is to be used) means grave.........jesus was not in hell but in the grave during those 3 days and wasnt ressurected right away....but did preaching work after he was alive
