I was 17mph over the limit and the penalty is about 100 dollars.
If I go to court and pay more I can get points off right?
But if I just pay for the ticket and not go to court I would get points right?
How much is my insurance gonna go up???
If I go to court to get points off how much would I have to pay?
What is the due date for the ticket? is it the court date?? because the court date is thursday, if it is the court date, I would have to pay like tomorrow.

Always go to court. Dress in your Sunday best, with at least a shirt and tie, preferably a suit! If the officer does not show up, you are off the hook. If he does, you can ask for a reduction in points, or a PBJ (probation before judgment).

BE polite and respectful and you will get a break!

And SLOW DOWN!!!!!

ALWAYS fight a ticket, even if you'll lose. Your best bet is to deal. Agree to pay the ticket without contest if they drop it to 14mph over or less, and they'll usually take it. Remember, the court is only interested in your ticket revenue, the easier the better. In most states the points are higher for 15 over, which would raise your insurance accordingly. Also, if you hold a CDL, 15mph over the limit is a serious offense, two of those in a year will lose you your license automatically for 90 days. Or, if you feel brave/lucky, hire an attorney to get it dismissed. It won't save you any money, but you won't have any points.

Depending on the state? but on a speeding ticket you still have to go to court and it will not reduce your points. Doesnt matter what you pay the points are still there. Just go to court and see if they can reduce the speed wont be so bad.

Yes you can usually pay a higher fine to avoid points, I would recommend this if you could. It'd probably be double the amount.
