Dairy is generally a bad idea for dogs. Even when they are still weaning, cows' milk is not suitable for them. Some dogs are very keen on cheese, and it can be ok to give a few tiny slivers of that, either as a very special reward, or to help give better associations for bad situations, eg. if the dog is frightened of thunderstorms or fireworks.
But both ice-cream, and especially chocolate in any form would be things I would always avoid giving. In addition, I would be very careful about giving treats to a dog just for making an appealing face. That is comonly known as begging. You should be using treats to train him, not the other way around lol!
Oh, and don't leave him anywhere that he can get hold of anything, food or otherwise, that he shouldn't have. He is much too young to even be capable of understanding about leaving things!

In this case, the dairy is not so much the problem as the high sugar content of the ice cream - that's no good for dogs. Yes, I admit to sharing vanilla ice cream with my dog very rarely (never chocolate!) but never more than a teaspoonful.

It is a very bad idea to give a young pup people food. You may get it to where it will not touch dog food. An occasional treat of people food later on is okay. No milk, ice cream is bad, but yogurt, cottage cheese, reg cheese would be okay.

such issues as cottage cheese, yogurt, cheese are nice to grant your dogs as long as no longer over executed. it truly is likewise nice to grant your dogs small quantities of vanilla ice cream once in a lengthy time period. Eggs, raw or cooked are very sturdy for dogs yet shouldn't accept extra then 2-3 cases a week.

Dairy can give dogs serious runs. serious serious runs because dogs have no tolerance for lactose. However they do have doggie ice cream that you can get him for those times when you have it!

Nope, technically all mammals should stop drinking milk when they are weened from their mother. It is nature's way of saying "no more dairy."
