A good face wash and a toner. A product that isn't heavy will be better than say a lotion because the lotion sits in the pores and clogs them right back up. If you look around at what each product is said to do there should be something that mentions reducing pores. But if all else fails after you wash your face puting a COLD wash cloth on your skin will shrink them because the cleaner pulls all the oils and make up residue out and then the toner and cold pull them closed. A bowl of ice works too but it takes a lot of ice. Pore strips help the nose because it is constnatly exposed to sun light and pollutants in the air. Good luck with the pores! I hope this helps in some way :).

Contrary to popular belief pores cannot open and close like little flowers. LOL
Retinoids are the best thing for treating large pores as these can change the shape of the pore itself.
Check out Paula Begoun's website for great basic information on skin:

IF YOU HAVE LARGE PORES, CONSIDER making toner part of your daily skin care regimen. Toner removes soap residue, makeup, and dead skin cells, all of which can clog pores and make them appear larger. Toner also restores the pH balance of your skin after washing, helping prevent acne and the fine lines that draw attention to large pores.
When choosing a toner, steer clear of products that contain drying alcohol and potentially dangerous chemicals called phthalates, advises Kim Erickson, a Las Vegas-based journalist and author of Drop-Dead Gorgeous (Contemporary Books, 2002). Instead, look for natural toners. If you have dry skin, choose a brand with a nondrying lavender, chamomile, or rose base. If your skin is oily, use a more astringent citrus-, vinegar-, or witch hazel-based toner. If you have normal skin, use a dry skin formula during the winter and an oily-skin toner during the summer.

You can also Use an Alpha Hydroxy Acid of at least 10% strength. We have a good one at 15%: Please go to “Skin Care” and read how this helps by regenerating the cells under the skin as well as gently sloughing off the top layers. The regeneration of these cells causes them to expand under the skin, therefore causing the skin to become tighter looking.

You reported you've a brilliant purifier, so i'd keep with that similar call sort and get the toner or astringent that they make. Cleanse your face with warmth water and extremely last rinse with chilly water to close your pores.

After you wash your face with a pore reducing face wash, rinse your face with cold water. This will close the pores, and they will not look as big

Try to use a toner after you have washed your face, if you prefer you can use ice cold water and splash it onto your face. Hope that helps!
