it hurts like nothing you can ever imagine. the one that you love with all of your heart is your best friend they know you better then anyone else and you have the best time with them. they are pretty much your everything and when you loose them you have nothing it is the worst feeling in the entire world. over time the feeling gets better and youll be able to move on but youll still always have that soft place in your heart for that person. it sucks i hate it.

Forever...but it gets easier in time. Really it does. I believe that once you love someone and I mean really love some, not lust, they will always be apart of your heart. You will find someone else who you will love in a differant way eventually. Give it time. Don't rush into anything. You don't want to get hurt agian. Good Luck!

Mate I was with my girlfriend for 18 months and i'm still hurting almost 8 months on. Its getting better and dude it really does get better 2 months ago I was contemplating killing myself the depression it put me in and now i'm so much better but yes it still hurts. Just think to the future and imagine the good things which could happen to you.
It's awful I know the worst thing i've been through in my life but it gets better. sorry man

im not gonna lie... its pretty painful, but i find the best way to make this work is to get out and do stuff. Not to replace her or him, but to keep ur mind off of him or her. Like go hang out with other friends and go outside and excersise or something. Make urself a better person and show ur ex u dont need him or her and that ur doing fine without them.

For me, maybe for the rest of my life I would get hurt if I loose my loveones... Right now Im in a good relationship and I admit that I love my boyfriend more than myself.... I want to be with him for the rest of my life... so dont make the wrong decision... Protect your loveones before its too late...

they say that it takes half the amount of time that you were going out to get over someone.
so if you were dating 2 years you are over them in 1 year.
as far as the heart hurting: the sooner you don't see him/her or any reminders and the sooner you fill that 'boy/girlfriend' time with something else the sooner your heart will stop hurting.
out of sight, out of mind.
