Wait until a romantic moment, when the two of you are lying in bed together, looking into each other's eyes, or kissing on the couch or at the door, etc. Look him in the eyes when you say it..and if he does not respond with the same, let the moment pass, be cheerful and give him time to think about it. He might love you back but might not be ready to admit it to himself or you...and maybe he's ready too. Saying it for the first time isn't easy no matter how old you get. How old are you anyway?

The "I love you" declaration should come later, after things get moving, not right off the bat. If you really dig somebody just give them some of your sincere, undivided attention and see if they reciprocate. There's a thousand ways to say the "L-word" before you actually vocalize it. Then when you do, it will have some meaning behind it.

With my boyfriend, I waited for him to say it first, That way I wouldn't scare him off or say it too soon, Saying I love you to a guy could possibly scare him off if you say it before you should

I don't really know....maybe when you two are on a romantic date or something then look into his eyes and smile and say, "I love you." It sounds cheesy but it won't look cheesy.
