Is there any way a guy can beat out a "player" image?? I think that girls make assumptions about me based on my looks/style, friends, etc.. All of this is not even close to true. And I only go for the "good girl" type who seem to dwell on it.
There's one that I like who confuses me.. Like she's keeping me around, but is reluctant to do anything with me in person. I've asked her out twice, the first she said yes but later cancled and the second she ignored my message but replied to an earlier message I sent. I don't get it I guess?? please help!!
I really feel like it's my "image".. She makes it very clear that she's been hurt in the past and she "won't let it happen again"..

Apparantly you give off the player image - and I know exactly what she sees (and hears, right?) Doesn't sound like you've had much of a chance to get to know her away from your friends. How do you act around your friends? At 23, I'd be suspicious of a guy who's acting a fool just like his idiotic friends AND I'd be suspicious if he's blowing them off while he's sitting next me on the couch and telling me they're idiots and he's nothing like them. Yeah right - play on playa! You have to find that 'happy medium' - in other words be yourself. Don't front (ok maybe hold back a LITTLE bit around your friends - I know how you guys are - keep some class for the ladies). The only way you can prove you're not a player is one on one time. You have to break through that initial barrier that she's put up and get her to go out to dinner with you. It's a test. Don't be too desperate, as a matter of fact you might not want to call her for awhile. When you do call her and she asks why you haven't called her and sounds generally happy to hear from you, you know she's missed you and you could have a shot. If she ignores your call, doesn't call you back, or doesn't sound thrilled to hear from you I would suggest you let this one go because she's just not interested and you'll basically be beating your head against a brick wall trying to figure it out. If the latter is the case it's because she likes the attention and the companionship you give her, but that's as far as it goes.

I'm sorry but it does not sound like she is very interested. Are you sure it's because of your "player" image? Maybe she has a boyfriend already, or maybe she just wants to be friends? Well, you can't force her to go out with you. If she is a good girl like you say, she might just not be attracted to "your type," or she is afraid you are only after one thing? It's all maybes because obviously I don't know you or her. I guess keep pursuing her if you really like her, but honestly it does not sound like she is all that interested in going on a date. Sorry.

I think it would be very hard to live down a player reputation. Maybe this girl just needs time for you to show her that you're not gonna go and get with a bunch of other girls. If you dont want to give her time then there are other fish in the sea.

I may be a little more cautious if your image portrays a certain behavior, but I would not judge you because of it. Rather, I would get to know you before making any kind of decision about dating you or doing anything intimate. Your personality and behavior would show your true colors, not your looks/style or even your friends.

I think the problem is she likes you back, and is afraid of it. It is apparent she's been scarred before, so now she is reluctant to get into anything serious. I'd just be patient with her and work on gaining her trust, once you have that I think everything will work itself out.

if you love her that much just try to change your "image" and tell her that your not like a player and you respect her??? and she might change her mind.. try to become a close friend of hers and shell find out what a nice guy you are and will probably change her mind!!

well show her how good u are and that u wont hurt her show her you care for her and you know shes been hurt but you promise to never hurt her. she most likely will talk and you most likely to get a date. do things she likes like flowers and a box of chocolate's girls love that.

if you really like her prove it to her.. be patient with her.. she might be testing you character. and she needs to KNOW if she can trust you..... I would slack off on all the girls and just be their friends.. (except her) prove yourself again and again.. check your actions and choice of words at all times and make sure that you are being sincere and genuine.
