It's normal to have irregular periods while nursing. (Some of my early postpartum cycles were 55 days long!) If baby nurses more one month (cold, teething, growth spurt) then that cycle is likely to be longer. If baby nurses less one month then that cycle is likely to be shorter.

Know that if your period has returned, you can get PG again while nursing so you should use alternative methods of birth control. If you see other pregnancy symptoms or don't get a period in about a week, test.

Yes it is possible to get pregnant while nursing. If you are exclusively breastfeeding (no supplementing with formula or pumped milk), nursing on demand and going no more than 4 hours without nursing through the night, AND you have not started your period again then that is considered a fairly reliable method of birth control up until the baby is 6 months old. Personally I wouldn't rely on that method though. See:

Because your periods have started again (mine started that early again too - no fair!) then it's entirely possible you are pregnant although you'd need to test to be sure of course.

Keep in mind that it is possible to continue nursing while you are pregnant should you choose to do so (as long as you eat healthfully with enough calories to support breastfeeding and pregnancy). There's a great book called "Adventures in Tandem Nursing: Breastfeeding During Pregnancy and Beyond" by Hilary Flower.

Take care!

You very well good be. Just because you are nursing does not mean that you can't get pregnant. Remember after one has a child you can get pregnant very easy if having sex even once. Give the body time to heal and enjoy the time with your baby. Good Luck

It's very possible if you've been having sex just because you are breast feeding or have recently had a baby doesn't mean you can't get pregnant. Your hormones could still be a little out of wack and getting straightened out the rest of the way. Try a pregnancy test

It's probably just because you're breastfeeding, but you could take a test and find out.
