This question goes out to all the Christians out there who constantly post variants of Pascal’s wager asking what do you have to loose if you worship God. Keep in mind this is purely a hypothetical question.

Say after you die you realize there is an afterlife, but hold on, it’s not the one you had expected. You find yourself in the presence of the Egyptian God of the Dead, Anubis. He’s about to weigh your heart against the weight of a feather. This will decide your fate in the afterworld. What say you? What would be your reaction if you found out that you had picked the wrong God? Is your heart as light as a feather?

You see There are more options than just "god exists" or "there is no god" with the wager. I bet Anubis or Hades wouldn't be amused at all by Pascal's Wagerers. To say nothing of obscure blood-thirsty Aztec death-gods. Should one worship all of those, just in case they are right as well? And what, pray tell, about all the possible Gods that have never been worshiped?

Added Note: I'm an Atheist. I don't believe in any gods. :-)

Very well put! I heard someone say that EVERYONE is an atheist, its just a matter of how many gods they dont believe in. The Romans persecuted the early Christians for being atheists. You and I are just smart enough that we went all the way with it.

If you believe in Pascal's wager you damn well better cover ALL of your bets.

When I die the heart will go to nothing so a feather will be much heavier. The Egyptians didn't take this into account did they?
However despite what this boy Pascal has to say I know that the God of Abraham, Israel, King David, and the Messiah does exist and I'm happy to say that He already knows my heart is as corrupt as Adolf Eichmann's heart was. He still loves me and He will still forgive me when I beg for the love of His everlasting forgiveness.
Give my regards to Pascal.

Why worship anything. That in and of itself means that I feel i am inferior to something else. I have much self-respect and couldn't really put myself in that situation. I'd rather spend an entity in hell than bow down to any person or anything.

Very nicely put. Too many Christians (I was one, once) think that all they have to do to convince a non-believer that God exists is to use a worn-out argument such as this one. You'd think that they could come up with something else.
